Trucks and dogs

Hello Everyone, My very first post on this site was about dogs and babies, and about how the way they see the world can help us avoid our own biases. This post is about trucks and dogs and how they are expensive. I don't really have much deeper insight than that, but I thought it was a nice symmetry. Also, I'm one heartbreak away from a country song, but my relationship is going very well in fact, so we'll have to pull up shy of that mark. In the same week, I got both of my boys checked up. One for resale, the other not. Just to be clear, Arthur is not up for auction. But my truck is, and I had to get it safetied to sell it. There are two downsides, which amount to the same thing, about having a big, muscular truck: gas is expensive and repairs are expensive. So, basically, it's expensive.
And there wasn't that much wrong with it, just needed to replace a few parts, but it was rusted tight in a few spots, and before you know it, I've just forked over a down payment on a house to get it back from the shop. Similarly with Arthur. As you may recall, I am very familiar with the expenses one can incur with pet ownership. Very familiar. But that largely stems from emergencies. Arthur is fit as a fiddle. His weight is on track, he's in good shape, etc. But that just means I don't have to get anything in addition to the regular meds and vaccines he's on. I should campaign on extending OHIP to dogs. As a side note, if Arthur could understand that I spend a lot of resources to take him to the place he hates the most in the entire world, he'd be doubly upset. He spends the time waiting for the vet to come into the examination room hiding under my chair. And if the vet doesn't hold on to him during said examination, he tries to slowly escape away from her grasp. He gives me very sad eyes the whole time, but he does that a lot anyway. Wes Photos Now, I'm not saying I'm a great, great gardener, possibly the greatest of all time. I'm not at all saying that. But I am hearing a lot of other people say it. So, so often. Check out this jungle.
Also, a great shot I took of Jada this past weekend.
