Positive things about the desert

Hello Everyone,

Arthur and I have been traveling through the deserts of Wyoming (on a horse with no name). While deserts aren't really my thing, I thought I'd keep it positive and post a list of good things about about them. 1. You are very unlikely to drown. 2. Wildlife viewing is superb. Any animal taller than about 18 inches is visible from a five mile radius. Saw lots of deer on the drive. 3. It's so windy, nobody notices that you're the only one who hasn't combed his hair. 4. No mosquitoes. 5. Beautiful sunsets. 6. You can really see where you are going. Like, you can see the spot up ahead that you'll reach in 10 minutes of driving. 7. If, for any reason, you have to swerve off the road, you won't hit a tree. 8. Bears can't sneak up on you. 9. It's cold at night, so you sleep well under a wool blanket. 10. You have some sense of what it would be like to walk on the moon, minus the really expensive rocket.

These are from the spot we stayed at last night. Yes, there is water there, but that is deliberate. It's a reservoir they constructed for a town nearby.
