It has been _0_ days since the last time I forgot my bike seat

Hello Everyone, I always thought I would grow out of being forgetful. Like being afraid of going into the basement when the lights were off, I figured it wasn't a thing that adults did. They seemed on top of things. Routinely, I forgot to bring whatever it was I was supposed to bring either from or to school. It was pretty much standard, in fact. But it was low stakes. No one was relying on me, I had minimal responsibilities, so if I forgot my permission slip 5 days in a row, no big D. Once I was older, I figured, I'd no longer do that. I would have real responsibilities, and somehow, my memory would mature like the rest of me. I turn 40 before long, and about 2-3 times a week, I forget my bike seat on the coffee table in the morning when I leave for work. It's not like I live in a huge apartment either, the thing is right there and I walk out the door with it, week after week. I also don't live a wildly different life, day to day. I wake up at the same time, eat the same breakfast, take the same route to the same job by the same means every day. And yet, between my bike seat, wallet, lunch, etc., I usually leave something behind. What's more, I'm pretty good at trivia. I'm able to remember all kinds of random information, just not the kind that is immediately useful to me, like my bike seat. My grandfather used to say that he'd forget his head if it wasn't attached. It seems I inherited more that just a stocky body and devastating good looks from him. Photos A little while ago, Arthur had a replacement dog walker while my regular one was on vacation. Another dog in the new pack apparently didn't like what Arthur had to say and attacked him. I came home to find a mark in his side, and spent a few hours at the emergency vet getting it stitched up. He was a total champ while we were there, and didn't put up too much fuss as they were cleaning it out. He's on the mend now, and back with his regular crew.
