The distinct charm of northern Ontario

Hello Everyone,

I woke up this morning to snow on the rig again. Lest you think it is uncomfortable at below freezing temperatures in my transportable home, I'll have you know it was 9am. I'm normally up much earlier, but I didn't set an alarm as I have been fighting off a cold and figured sleep would be helpful.

Lazy bones Arthur didn't say a peep. He's a fan of sleeping in.

More of the same today, as we continue our drive along the northern edge of Lake Superior. It's very long, but there's a rugged beauty here that is hard to beat and easy to enjoy. Most of the leaves have fallen but there's still enough hanging on to give splashes of yellow, orange and red.

If all goes to plan, this will be my last full day on the road. Tomorrow, God willing, I'll arrive in Toronto. My drive doesn't end there of course, but the long days of driving will. I try not to think about it too much. It's easy to miss things when you try too hard. I'm just enjoying the last days of this adventure.

Wes

The first two are from a rest area next to the lake. The last two are from our stop last night and the start of the drive.
