Hitting the snooze on my weekend

Hello Everyone,
I spent my weekend in a beautiful mid sized city, a provincial capital with gorgeous ocean side parks, temperate climate and distinctive architecture. It's truly a national gem. I was there after spending time in the vacation town north of this city, famous for its beaches. I am speaking of Victoria and Tofino of course. Not sure there's another city in Canada that would fit that description. Specifically, after living the high roller life for exactly two days, I was back in Victoria sharing a basement apartment. No complaints though, I don't mind sleeping on an air mattress if it means seeing my friends for longer. In fact, Victoria was so great that I twice extended my stay by a day. I seem to be in no hurry to make the drive across a vast country. On Monday, Arthur and I, and Kaqui went for a bike ride in the forest next to the dump. This is the one that is full of crows. They are still creepy as heck. Also on Monday, I subbed in for Taylor's ball hockey team, which is probably more of a Canadian thing than actual hockey. You need a lot of hockey sticks laying around to play ball hockey. Add a nice walk in the big park next to the ocean and some evening drinks downtown on Tuesday and it was an awesome couple of days. I was back on the ferry, staring out at the coast before I knew it. Arthur beside, nose in the air. He's a very lucky dog to get the chance to be out here, and I'm not sure if he'll ever be back. But that doesn't bother him. He takes life as it comes. Wes

A bot of a motley collection here. The first is of Arthur on the ferry. We're making our way back to the truck after spending most of the journey in the pet area.
The second is not-at-all-awkward photo of me in front of the Pacific terminus of the Trans-Canada highway. There's a picture of Chris Barkley and I in front of the same sign taken almost 20 years ago. Doesn't look like they've updated the sign since then.
The last is from Beacon Hill park in Victoria.
