Hello Everyone,

I'm currently sitting in the cab of my truck, waiting out a thunderstorm. The camper does fine in the rain, but I'm not 100% sure that it can handle a lightning strike. I'm staying at a free camping site on the shores of a lake, east of Helena. I'm near the top of a hill, which is why the possibility of getting hit by lightning crossed my mind.

I can't really complain about the rain though, it's super dry around here. Also, it was polite enough to come in the afternoon, giving Arthur and I time to go for a ride this morning.

For our outing, we made our way along a hill south of town, and along a ridge once we had created the hill. It gave commanding views of the surrounding valley and the rolling hills beyond. It's a nice place, though my preference is for shadier, loamier terrain.

Nice as it is, I won't be staying long here. My plan is to head to Bozeman tomorrow. It's not as hot, which will be good for both Arthur and I. After that, I plan to make the drive south to see the Teton mountains. I'm becoming a bit more selective in where I spend my time on this trip. Now that the end is at least in sight, I want to make sure I can stay longer in a place I find really special.

Photos and videos!

Firstly, here's a link to the gopro footage I shot when Arthur and I did the Seven Summits. Like the pictures I send out, it's minimally edited, but does give you a bit of a sense of what an epic trail feels like.

The first picture is of Arthur drinking from the lake at our campsite. It was pretty busy here yesterday, with a lot of boats going around, music blaring, etc. But the picture looks serene, so it's a little deceptive.

Second and fourth pictures (I don't know why they loaded like that) are from the high point today.

Third picture is from what I believe is an old mine entrance at the bottom of one of the trails we did today. Good spot for some artistic photography.
