A short update

Hello Everyone,
I'm in a bit of a lull in my adventure. I'm currently gearing up for an epic ride in a couple of days, but there is not much news to relate.
Last night I stayed in a campground outside of Castlegar, which, while nice enough, reminded me of why I usually stay on forest roads with a bit more solitude. There was a drunk guy in the site next to mine, offered me a "liquor picnic" when I was setting up. I'll take the grizzlies and a service road instead, thanks.
Today I've been in Rossland, where you'd think I would feel at home, but I've mostly just been running around getting stuff organized.
You see, the last trail on my list for Canada is called the Seven Summits. It was voted best trail in the world a few years ago, and it starts near here. Thing is, it's about 25 miles, all told, through a rugged alpine area, with no short cut out and no additional warer. Talking to a guy at the bike shop, we agreed, it's probably too much for Arthur.
So, I have to find a spot to take him for the day. It's going to be very stressful, for both of us, to leave him, but there's no other way. I also coordinated a shuttle to get to the trailhead, as the trail is a line, instead of a loop.
Lastly, I've been driving around scoping out places to stay for the night, and despite the eponymous character of this town, I'll be taking a spot in the next town over, Trail.
To recap, I'm staying in Trail, and riding the trails in Rossland. If there was a village called 'Political Science Nerd', in between the two, I'd probably never leave.
Wes

Not much to report, so here's a photo of Arthur waiting for me to finish this post, while we sit outside the library in Rossland.
