Things to do in Revelstoke when it's wet

Hello Everyone,

Here's a convenient list of things to do in Revelstoke, should you ever find yourself in this mountain town in the interior of BC, after a few days of heavy rain:

1. Mountain biking. (Honestly, what did else did you think I was going write? You think mud is a deterrent? Since when has cleanliness been a priority for me?)

2. Get bit by mosquitoes. (Oh, you wanted to stop and take a picture? Dive bomb!)

3. Imagine what the beautiful mountains look like behind a wall of clouds. (Oh, you wanted to take a picture? Hope you like white.)

4. Forget your gloves on the hood of your truck, turn around any hour later and find them on the side of that highway. (On the bright side, they did dry off.)

5. Wait until 1:30pm to buy a Saturday paper, because it takes that long for them to be delivered up here. (What are we, savages?)

6. Consider buying bear spray, but decide against it. (I just have to outrun the slower bikers on the trail.)

7. Suggest to the town council that they change the tag line on the welcome sign to "Scruffy Traveler Capital of Canada". (For accuracy. Yours truly excluded.)

8. Break a spoke in your wheel, get annoyed, but then find out from the bike shop that the other spokes were so loose that the wheel could have collapsed. (That one is kinda specific to me. Bullet dodged though.)

9. Did I mention the mosquitoes? (They don't mess around.)

10. Spend your evening with some fellow scruffy travelers at a rest area where you can camp for free. (These are my people.)
