A partnership in adventure

Hello Everyone,
Travelling with a dog can at times be limiting. There are few dog-friendly restaurants, and pretty much all of my shopping has to be done in 15 minute increments while Arthur waits in the truck. But I'm not one for restaurants or shopping. On a trip like this, it's important to remember your priorities. Why am I here? What I am I doing? The answer, for me, is adventure. And Arthur is a good partner for that.
The last couple of days here in Whistler, he and I have been hitting the trails. A black diamond trail in this part of the world earns that rating, with steep and technical climbs and descents, but there's nowhere I can go that he can't or won't. And there's a few places he'll go that I won't venture, specifically the glacier-fed Cheakamus River, where he went for a dip to cool off.
After a good ride yesterday, we went to the beach, crowded as it was with seasonal workers waiting on the busy season to start, and went paddleboarding around the lake. It's not the first time we've been on a paddleboard, but this one was a little narrower. Again, anywhere I could go, he would go too. He sat calmly at the front of the board and took in the scenery, while I did all the work. Pretty good deal for him now that I think of it.
Afterwards, we both jumped off the dock into the lake, then lay on the grass while the evening sun dried us off. He was more than happy to follow me there. If you'd like a funny image, imagine the both of us on our backs, eyes closed, soaking in a bit of sun.
