Hide and seek is hard when you're a dinosaur

Hello Everyone,
As an uncle, I have an important role to play. I play flying trains, play the double bounce game on the trampoline, and I play hide and seek, usually quite badly. The thing with the latter game is that hiding involves not being the centre of attention. Which can be hard, when you are 3 and the first born.
As anyone with good sense knows, dinosaurs are cool. Also, they make a lot of noise, so when you want to impress someone with how much you are like a dinosaur, you have to roar with gusto. Even if the game you are playing requires, shall we say, discreet behaviour. Jack and I were playing in the backyard yesterday, and he could barely wait until I got down the stairs to try to find him before he would roar as loud as he could. Kinda giving away the game there buddy.
Also cool? Dogs. And a certain dog in particular is a favourite with Jack's friends at the day care. This morning we walked together to drop him off, and while Jason and Jack were getting set up, the rest of the minions crowded around Arthur to pet his soft fur. Fortunately, it's not his first rodeo, and he's been swarmed by miniature adults before.
What's popular with both dogs and kids? Throwing balls. It was a beautiful day yesterday, so in the afternoon we met up with some friends of Jason and Jiamei's in the park. They have a set of twins who are Jack's age, so I brought Arthur's ball and chuckit and let Jack and his friends toss the ball to their hearts' content. They can tire themselves out having fun together, and everyone is happy.
The only person having an issue adapting to living with a dog in their midst? Tommy. Whereas Levi has grown up with dogs, and thus doesn't mind getting his food covered hand licked when he drapes them over his high chair, it's a new sensation to Tommy. Can't really blame Arthur, the little digits are just hanging there at nose level, covered in avocado or some other delicious human food.
Quietly hiding and not licking food covered hands might be nice, but I'm in no rush to see them develop. We spend enough time colouring inside the lines.
