Well now I'm not so sure

Hello Everyone,
Would you prefer to ride a beautiful but easy trail, or a fun, fast and flowy trail in unremarkable surroundings? The latter was my experience yesterday, and now I'm a little torn.
Yesterday we rode one of the most popular trails in a town that loves mountain biking. It had banked turns and nicely hard packed earth, hero dirt one might say. Also, it had a bunch of jumps that I'm sure the local kids rock but that I mostly either avoided or hit only fast enough to barely clear my tires.
But after talking down down the McKenzie River trail for not being enough of an mtb trail, I can't honestly say which is better. Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to ride both, and really, the whole idea of ranking these things is a little silly, but it does make you think about what it is you enjoy and why.
Today's plan is to meet up with some locals and hit some more great trails. It's finally sunny for the first time in a week. Marie has also had enough of this cushy living in a state park campground with their running water and hot showers, and wants to boondock tonight. There's a spot by the trails where we'll likely set up camp.
Like riding a variety of trails, it's nice to have the option to stay wherever we want.
Wes
