The kindness of strangers

Hello Everyone,
Again last night, I slept in the comfortable accommodations of a friend's aunt and uncle. They are very gracious hosts, and staying here has been great on a couple of levels. Not only is it spacious and comfortable, but with the rainy weather right now in this part of the world, I can keep the camper closed up and relatively dry.
Yesterday, Ken, my host, and I went to a tire shop to get that gouge looked at. Not surprisingly, the place that sells tires recommended that I buy in a new tire. But given that I could see some of the steel belts in the sidewall of the tire, they probably had a point. In fact, I lucked out as they had a used tire that was an exact match of my other three and that was still in good shape. With installation, the whole thing only ended up being $80, so I consider myself quite lucky. Not so lucky as to not hit that curb in the first place, but when you drive a lot, a certain amount of that is to be expected.
I spent my afternoon catching up on some administrative type of stuff. Uploading pictures and scouting out my next stops, etc. That sort of planning is one of the things I didn't account for when actually planning this trip, and it takes up a huge amount of time. I thought I would just look up places online and be good to go. And I so look places up online, but there are dozens of websites recommending places to go, and not all of them have the same info regarding cost and ease of access. It's surprisingly time consuming to get it sorted out. I should develop an app or something.
