While the sun shines

Hello Everyone,
Given the wet weather in the area recently, I was recommended to go up to a place called Reveille Peak Ranch. I had to get them to repeat that a couple of times, their pronunciation of 'reveille' didn't exactly fit the guidelines from the Académie française.
This was ranch country, rocky and largely flat. The biking area took advantage of the only hills of any kind in the area. The riding was good, the rock was super grippy and there were some cool features in the trails. Arthur also got to meet some cattle who wander through. This is apparently a working ranch. He was pretty curious about them, but they didn't seem to reciprocate. They weren't longhorns either, unfortunately, but I've seen a few in my travels around here.
It was a really good day. Not only did I get some good riding in, but I took advantage of the isolated location to wash my hair using the outside shower on the camper. It had been a few days, and I felt sparkling that evening.
Today is President's Day here in the US, so a lot of stuff is closed. I had originally thought to try to run a few errands, but since the weather turned nice and it's supposed to rain for the rest of the week, I figured I would take advantage and get another day of riding in. While the sun shines. Arthur was still a bit tired and sore from yesterday, but he's always game for another run in the woods.
There is a fun urban park with decent trails and that allows dogs, so it fit the bill perfectly. We put in a couple of hours, then I used the outside shower again, only this time to wash my bike. I can't be taking showers every day, geez.
