Yoga and Jesus

Hello Everyone,

I don't talk much about dating, but Arthur doesn't have a complete monopoly on my time. I do get out from time to time. I don't plan to write about it very much, but I did have a funny observation from a few recent encounters. Have you ever had an evangelist of some sort come to your door or accost you in a public venue and ask to talk about Jesus? They are eager to share the many benefits that their belief in Our Lord and Saviour has brought them. These meetings are annoying because there is a fundamental error in the evangelists' thinking. We all know about Jesus. My lack of belief in His divinity is not a function of a lack of information. I just don't believe. Giving me more information about Jesus isn't going to make me believe in Jesus. A few of the people I've dated have been really into yoga. Like someone's belief in Jesus, I'm all for it. If it works for you, knock yourself out. It's just not my thing. When I tell them this, the evangelist in them comes out and they provide me with more information about the wonderful benefits of yoga. Again, it's not a question of information. I already know yoga is good for you. I just find it painfully boring. More information isn't going to change that dynamic. Needless to say, these dates have not lead to anything further. They weren't bad people, but misunderstanding someone's different interests as ignorance of your own is a bad foundation upon which to build. As I like to say, I'm inflexible of body and mind. The latter would have to crack before I would ever work on the former.
